Allison Dencklau- Piano

Ali has been teaching piano for 15 years and has been playing for even longer. Since age 5, Ali has been playing piano. She has played in a number of solo recitals as well as playing with instrumental groups such as Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Chorale at East Tennessee State University and in Australia. Ali has a Bachelor of Music, Piano Performance and a Masters of Music, Piano Performance and Pedagogy as well as being a member of Music Teachers National Association. Laughter is important in all of Ali's lessons. Fun equals a successful lesson. Ali incorporates games in all lessons and emphasizes rhythm, note reading, and piano duets at the early level. 

Lindsay E

Lindsay Eckhardt- Piano & Voice

Lindsay has a Bachelor from the University of Illinois, and currently pursuing a Master's in Music from the University of Illinois. She is skilled in both voice and piano, and is still an active vocalist. Most recenlty performed as the Queen of the Night in the University of Illinois Opera Program's production of Die Zauberflote at Krannert Center for the Perfroming Arts. Lindsay has been part of several productions such as West Side Story, Gondoliers, and Man of La Mancha. She has been fortunate enough to study with world renowned teachers and operatic performers

Bob Salihar- Guitar

Bob has been teaching guitar for 13 years. Bob focuses on tailoring each lesson specifically for each student's unique wants and needs. He allows his students to pick their favorite songs to learn on the guitar. He teaches the techniques and theoretic knowledge they need in order to play the music and song they know and love. Bob is also an active guitar player. He has performed professionally in various cafes, clubs and festival stages around the Mid-west since 1998. He is writing and recording his own songs and playing with multiple music groups around town.

Corrine Evans

Corrine Evans- Violin

Corrine started her passion and love for music through dance. She danced to live music learning ballter, flamanco, and several others. Corrine was taught violin via the Suzuki method, which is an extremenly effective method that she uses to teach her students. Corrine has travelled the world and studied with masters such as Simone Bernardini of Berlin Philharmonic, Owain Phyfe, and Bob Bielefeld. She is a memeber of the Suzuki Association of Americans and is coming out with a new CD titled Leaky Otter: The Folk Album. 

Jenny Stanuch- Violin

Violinist Jenny Stanuch is an active performer and teacher. She has taught private lessons for either years, with students ranging from beginner level to students pursuing minors in music. Jenny is also a memeber of the American String Teachers Association. The past several summers Jenny has workinged as a teaching assistant at the OPUS Chamber Music camp, and most recently serving as head TA. She has experienced coaching chamber ensambles and leading orchestra sectionals. Jenny's current research focuses on the importance of student-teacher trust in applied music lessons. Professionally she performs with the University of Illinois Symphony Orchestra, the Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra, and in chamber ensembles and pit orchestras for local opera and musical productions.

Xochi

Xochi John- Cello

Xochi John is a recent graduate of Oberlin College Conservatory whhere she studies cello performance. During her four years at Oberlain, she taught cello lessons to fellow college students, as well as some high school and middle school students. She moved to Champaign-Urbana in the Fall of 2011 to begin her Alexander Technique teacher training. She hopes to incorporate the principles of this technique into her cello teaching in addition to her playing.Xochi's favorite music to play and listen to are the Bach solo cello suiets. Other than her love for the cello, Xochi enjoys yoga and baking.
